1. Turn the laptop off (not sleep or hibernate but off).
2. Connect an external monitor to the laptop.
3. Turn on the external monitor.
4. Plough on the laptop.
NOTE: You lot may have to printing an "external monitor" button. Could be the f4 push or a button with two monitors on information technology, for the external monitor to work.
If you can run across fine on the external monitor, and so your fastened display, or the ribbon cablevision that connects it, are your problem.
If yous can't see on the external monitor at all, or the trouble occurs on the external monitor as well, then it is probably the graphics carte/GPU that is the problem, which may require the motherboard be replaced.

My Asus has horizontal static across the screen. It started but at the left side of the screen, now it all over the screen. It looked a Television with static when no program is on late at night.
